THE OVERHEARD SERIES
The President has announced that the space program is to be revived and that future trips to the stars will mark the beginning of a new era. At a recent visit to the Johnson Space Center, we overheard the following:
The President said to the Chief of the Center:
"Chief, I hope you heard my latest speech about our space program?”
“Yes Mister President. I could not miss it for anything. After all you are the one giving the necessary push, or rather propulsion to our program.”
“Well yes, I thought a lot about it and I feel that we can revisit the Moon and then move on to Mars the Red Planet, and then we will take an even greater step, Chief. We go on to the Sun!”
The Chief removed his sunglasses and said:
"The Sun? Mister President, that is going to be a little difficult to accomplish. It's hot out there!"
"Not if we go at night""
